Zagorochoria in northwestern Greece is ideal for hiking and immersion in nature – but also for visiting villages!<\/p>\n

The seat of the municipality is the village of Asprangeli.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

It has an area of about 1,000 square kilometres and includes villages, known as the villages of Zagori, and has the shape of an inverted equilateral triangle.<\/p>\n

There are 46 stone villages scattered on the slopes of Pindos and in most of them, time seems to have stopped in the 19th century.<\/p>\n

Among the fascinating villages you can visit are Megalo (big) Papigo and Mikro (small) Papigo which are twin villages with beautiful architecture, lakes and excellent hiking trails.<\/p>\n
